What you need to know

This itinerary is a great all rounder, balancing luxury accommodation, scenic driving, cultural experiences, and Ireland’s renowned hospitality, making it an unforgettable six-day adventure! 

You could easily add more days by including a stay in Adare Manor, Dromoland Castle or Ashford Castle.

Day 1: Dublin – The Heart of Ireland

Accommodation: The Merrion Hotel or The Shelbourne Hotel.

Activities:

    • Explore Trinity College and the Book of Kells.
    • Visit Dublin Castle and St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
    • Visit Kilmainham Gaol and learn about the history of Irish Republicanism.
    • End the evening with live music and a pint at Kehoes, Palace Pub or O’Donoghue’s.
Day 2: Dublin to Kilkenny and Cork

Accommodation: Hayfield Manor in Cork.

Activities:

    • Stop in Kilkenny to visit Kilkenny Castle and stroll through the medieval streets.
    • Continue to the Rock of Cashel for breathtaking views and history.
    • Dine at Greenes Restaurant or Hayfield Manor’s Orchids Restaurant.
Day 3: Cork to Killarney via Blarney Castle

Accommodation: Killarney Park Hotel or the Great Southern Hotel 

Activities:

    • Drive through scenic countryside to Killarney National Park.
    • Have a drink at Ladies View before a short hike along Torc Waterfall
    • Enjoy amazing seafood at Kitty O’ Se’s or The Panorama Restaurant at The Europe.
Day 4: Killarney to Dingle Peninsula

Accommodation: Return to your Killarney hotel or stay at a boutique property in Dingle.

Activities:

    • Drive the spectacular Slea Head Drive for rugged coastal views and then pass over Ireland’s Highest Mountain Pass, Conor Pass. 
    • Visit charming Dingle town, known for its colorful streets and lively pubs.
    • Sample fresh seafood at Out of the Blue or enjoy a pint at Dick Mack’s Pub.
Day 5: Dingle to Galway via Cliffs of Moher

Accommodation: Glenlo Abbey Hotel or The G Hotel in Galway.

Activities:

    • Stop at the iconic Cliffs of Moher for awe-inspiring views of the Atlantic Ocean.
    • Drive through the lunar-like landscape of The Burren National Park.
    • Arrive in Galway and explore its vibrant Latin Quarter with live music and artisan shops.
    • Dine at Ard Bia at Nimmos or Kai Restaurant.
Day 6: Galway to Dublin – Farewell Ireland

Activities:

    • Take a leisurely drive back to Dublin, stopping at quaint villages along the way. Maybe a pint at the Oldest Pub in the world in Athlone. 
    • If time permits, visit Trim Castle, of Braveheart Fame.
